About the Show

New Stories. Bolder Stages. Stronger Together.

Pa’lante Theater Company, in partnership with The Sol Project, the Latinx Playwright Circle, Seven Angels Theater and University of Connecticut School of Fine Arts proudly presents La Luna Project, a dynamic weekend celebrating the creativity, artistry, and storytelling of Black and Latine playwrights and theater makers.

This inaugural festival will bring together emerging and established artists, playwriters and theater organizations for an exciting showcase of new theatrical works, featuring staged readings, developmental presentations, and original productions. At least one production will embrace the power of minimalist theater, using limited sets and props to place the spotlight on the performers, their stories, and the transformative power of live performance.

More than a festival, La Luna Project is a space for artistic discovery, collaboration, and community building. The weekend will culminate in a Sunday afternoon convening of Connecticut's small theater organizations, independent companies, and cultural leaders committed to diversifying the stage, expanding opportunities for underrepresented artists, and bringing new stories to audiences across our state.

Join us as we celebrate bold new voices, nurture the next generation of theatermakers, and build a more inclusive and vibrant future for Connecticut theater.
