This artistic tour is part of BoriCorridor, an initiative of Ágora Cultural Architects with the support of the Mellon Foundation, which seeks to connect artists from the island with diasporic audiences in the northeastern United States and the organizations that serve them. BoriCorridor is the first virtual map that brings together cultural spaces, presenters, festivals and promoters of Puerto Rican culture. Learn more at www.boricorridor.com.

Pa'lante Theater, Afro Caribbean Cultural Center, Judah's Camp School of Music, the Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury, Silas Bronson Library and the Greater Waterbury Puerto Rican Day Parade and Festival Committee are pleased to welcome: JazzBoricua to the Brass City for a FREE Musical Talk and Performance Experience Saturday April 13, 2024 at 11:00 am.

About Jazz Boricua - Four distinguished professionals in the Puerto Rican musical spectrum, “fiebrús” of Jazz and folklore, make up Jazz Boricua. In 2003, pianist and composer Ángel David Mattos further developed the concept of merging jazz and Puerto Rican music by leading a jazz ensemble in a series of presentations at the Marriott Hotel in San Juan. Over time, the concept evolved into the formation of Jazz Boricua: a jazz quartet comprising piano, sax/flute/clarinet, bass, and drums. Since the band's creation, they have been very active in the music scene in Puerto Rico, performing at major venues, community and cultural centers, festivals, and all types of events.

The artists as part of the BoriCorridor Tour will be performing Saturday evening at the  Immanuel Congregational Church (10 Woodland Street, Hartford ) at 7:00 pm tickets are $20-$25 dollars and can be purchased at boritix.com.
