PA'LANTE MARQUEE
What's next on stage...
Waterbury, CT – Pa’lante Theater Company's Don Juan Play opened to rave reviews! This play is a sharp and emotionally resonant piece written by Juan Ramirez Jr. and directed by Rafael Feliciano-Roman. This exciting new work will run through April 19 at the Pa’lante Theater Black Box, located at 158 Grand Street in Waterbury, CT.

In Don Juan, the audience is invited into the mind of Francesca, a graduate student who is newly engaged to Juan—but not entirely convinced she knows who he really is. Using a film school assignment as her excuse, Francesca decides to track down and interview his exes. As she navigates this journey of revelation, she turns to the audience for guidance, using them as her sounding board in real time. The play is a blend of wit, vulnerability, and confrontation, examining how we uncover the truth in the people we love.
The production stars Fior Rodriguez as Francesca, alongside Jamie Bingham as Isla, Juan’s first great love. Alanna Ferrazzi plays Mary, his impulsive and unpredictable ex; Seven Encarnacion takes on the role of Wren, a weekend fling; and Monique Gibbons plays Quinn, the elusive “one that got away.” Luis “Apollo” Rivera steps into the role of Juan, the man at the center of it all.
“World Classic” is what happens when you take the quintessential American domestic drama away from white suburbia. It explores the identity issues created by assimilation through the eyes of two generations of an immigrant family. Like “The Humans” or “August Osage County” before it, it all takes place during one night, but unlike them, this play focus on those that had to sacrifice their homeland and in the process, compromise their heritage.
